As organizations evolve, success hinges on the ability of senior leadership to align diverse teams, foster trust, and navigate conflicts while driving strategic objectives forward.
Collaborative leadership, especially at the senior level, goes beyond traditional command-and-control approaches. Instead, it emphasizes inclusivity, trust, and shared accountability. It encourages the mitigation of silos, while encouraging teaming across functions, and cultivating a culture that values diverse perspectives and collective decision-making.
Lab participants will acquire the foundational skills to become proficient at trust-building, effective communication, conflict resolution, and fostering a culture of collaboration. Through role-playing scenarios, group discussions, and reflective exercises senior participants will be able to practice and refine these skills in real time.
Lab Objectives
- Enhance Collaborative Leadership Skills
Gain a deeper understanding of what it means to lead collaboratively. Participants will learn to cultivate a leadership style that promotes inclusivity, adaptability, and shared ownership of success, by developing the ability to balance assertiveness with openness to ensure that all voices are heard, while maintaining strategic direction. - Build a High-Trust Culture Among Leadership Teams
Trust is the cornerstone of collaboration. Leaders will learn to create and sustain trust throughout the organization by demonstrating transparency, authenticity, and reliability. Through practical exercises, leaders will practice active listening, delivering constructive feedback, and modeling trust-building behaviors. This focus on trust reduces internal conflicts, improves morale, and enhances team cohesion at the executive level. - Facilitate Strategic Alignment Across the Organization
Senior executives often face the challenge of aligning diverse teams and functions toward a common goal. This lab provides tools to bridge the gap between vision and execution, ensuring that every team member understands their role in achieving organizational objectives, communicating strategic priorities effectively, fostering alignment across departments, and creating a unified approach to decision-making. - Develop Advanced Conflict Management and Communication Skills
Conflict is inevitable in leadership, but it can be an opportunity for growth if managed effectively. Participants will explore advanced conflict resolution strategies and also learn to identify the root causes of conflict and address them constructively. - Create Actionable Strategies for Cross-Functional Collaboration
In complex organizations, collaboration often requires breaking down silos and fostering cooperation across diverse teams. Participants will learn frameworks and tools for driving cross-functional collaboration, such as Responsibility Assignment Matrices (RACI) and collaborative project management techniques. - Promote a Sustainable Culture of Collaboration
Beyond individual skills, the Lab will focus on strategies to embed collaboration into the organizational culture. Leaders will explore methods for modeling collaborative behaviors, creating systems that reward teamwork, and establishing processes that encourage ongoing collaboration.
“Our organization has had the privilege of working closely with Radical EQ over the past several years. We have participated in several of their learning labs including Dismantling Racism and have incorporated the Genesis of Race and Racism in the New World video into onboarding processes. Their insight and facilitation have been instrumental in enhancing our organizational culture. When thinking about next steps for the organization, we wanted to focus on our managers and ensuring that they manage from a place of empathy and have the tools to delegate and share power where needed. Based on our overwhelmingly positive experiences, we chose to continue with the Collaborative Leadership training.”

“Thank you all for this morning’s session. Although it was at times very difficult, it was essential for all of us to experience and learn. Right after I left the screen at the end of the meeting, I burst into tears — of sorrow, of frustration, and ultimately of joy at the beginning of our liberation from the past. And now the real work begins. Thank you for taking us there.”
